thanks for the reply, you wouldn't happen to know if for some reason having traction control would prevent the CAI from fitting would you??? i was told that once before but i don't see why it would, but i wanted to be sure.

I have traction control and my moroso fits. If it doesnt fit yours then you can always trim the opening to fit. Either of the two are a good intake just depends on how your wallet is feeling.

look at the SLP CAI. its similar in price to the others except it comes with a really nice looking chrome pipe. i think they even come with dual filters. i have morosco and its not attractive to look at

the k&n wont work with a car with traction control because the TCS unit is right below the ABS modulator and sticks out a bit, so apparently it can get in the way of the air intake tube

The slp cai is not chrome. It is a glossy black finish. It is still very nice imo. The chrome one is the same as the slp cai but it is a GM part. It is about $100 more for that one though so i wouldn't recommend it unless you get it used. I am very happy with my slp cai. I think it looks better then the others. But if its between the moroso or k&n i would say whichever you get for a better price. Both are plastic units. The hp differnce is probably 0. I would get the K&N but i don't think it really matters between the 2.

My car has the TCS module still on it, the K&N fit fine.

SLP Way better design and fit I think. And it just seems like it would flow more air since the moroso and the KN both pinch when they get to the radiator

Moroso here. The "pinch" acts as a venturi and helps speed up the incoming charge. Nice feature.
