Angry car is junk, wont start again!!!

Today i was driving to school and pulled out from an intersection and suddenly the car started missing and then just died, it would crank but would not start back, i noticed that antifreeze was leaking from a hose and it was smoking, i have no clue what it could be that wont let mycar start, and it also has a weird rattle coming from the bottom end or in the tc where i crank it over but it done it the last time it wouldnt start, so does anyone know what i could check and see why my car wont start, and it is not throwing any codes

Where is the anti freeze leaking from? Maybe it got on your opti and fried it. That's where I would look first.

I noticed you do not mention engine temperature when this happened, was the leaky hose located up front? like right below your intake elbow?

Not throwing any codes you said, hmmm you need to be more specific about the smoke too, was it light colored? steam from hot coolant? or blue smoke from tail pipes?

did it overheat? leaking coolant probably means a toasted opti.

Most hoses and(or start) at the front of the motor. I'm guessing it drenched the opti. Especially if it started to sputter then die.

the temp hand didnt move at all, and the coolant was coming from underneath the intake elbow, and the smoke was from the coolant hitting the engine, so how would i check the opti to see if its bad, its at a garage right now and i wouldnt want the mechanic the guess and check because that gets too $

Im pretty sure there is some kind of resistance test or otherwise you can do on the opti. Possibly you should check shoeboxes website or maybe he can chime in! Good luck. The opti is a toss of the coin most of the time. Sometimes coolant ruins it sometimes not. Its kind of an expensive mistake if you buy a new one and you still have a prob.

Same thing happened to me. I was pulling out of a parking lot and my rad. hose split, and soaked my opti. My car died ,but then started back up 10 min later. The damage was already done, and i drove my car home jerking and bucking like crazy.
