Thumbs up I adopted a Z28

Woo. Yeah, got myself a 94 Chevy Camaro Z28. Took it from the dealership ( Lets not go threw THAT mess ). But it was a pretty ok deal overall, ended up saving much more than i planned.

Forest Green, and i think the tires were brand new, cause i'd say they were 98% with the treading, nearly perf... -- Well, 97% from last night. T-Tops, with Cd player. Beige interior isn't all that bad either. Its completely stock, with just about 107k miles. And look at the time, its 4:03am in the morning, I just got back from a friends..and i'm leaving again. GOD, as much as I love driving.. it helps so much with this car.

And also ; glad to join..

Good buy on the car. Its the same color as mine. Now you just gotta make sure its running right and start throwing some mods on there. Get a good catback or cutout and a CAI for starters. The cutout may give you problems with the cops there is modesto though. So you may want to get an electric cutout if you go that route.

Congrats my friend!

Sounds like me...whenever I get a new car I drive the hell out of it the first couple of days! With those amount of miles, be sure to tune it up and change all the fluids and filters right away. Just a good idea to start out fresh.

Good luck with it!

congrats man . Im surprised I didnt blow the 97 to smitherines during the ride home. I got it cheap cuz of an exhaust leak and whiney rearend , but I still pounded the hell outta it during the 1.5 hour trip home with my new prize .

Wink

Oh I'm already enjoying the new ride ; thoroughly. Learning to drive and tame the beast is quite rough. I slammed around corners pressing on the gas, learning when to let go, where to turn the steering wheel and all of that shiggity shwa is pretty fun.

" Goin sideways. " As my friends say it. Lol.

And no, its not leather interior. I'm going on a 2 hour round trip drive to Oakland from Modesto in the morning, after that i'm gonna buy some new stuff for it. Oil change, replace transmission fluid and etc. Just so i can start out the car with what i know is under the hood and for how long its been there. I dont plan to put any mods in it the first month tho, just seeing how it goes here and there.

I've pushed it up to 120 so far. I'm gonna get it in a little more healthier condition before i peg it at 160. Prolly an intake, exhaust and headers will be the mark in the next two or three months.

congrats man, I got my 94 with only 75K in it two days ago from an ex airforce guy (old) for 5600. do you think thats a good deal? It was close to perfect when I bought it but today it started to idle weired when im on the stop light and applying the break. RPM goes up to 1500 back and fort to 1000 rpm, but notice it more when my heater is on. Other than that everything is gravy. Oh well... got a Z and love it!
