Intake manifold leak ?

i have the infamous intake manifold leak (i thought) and one of these days im going to get around to fixing it, its not that bad. But today i had the back of my car up on ramps and i couldnt believe the amount of oil that was on my garage floor when i drove the car off, it was like the size of a cd. when the car is flat it will leave a little drip here and there. My question is would that big spot be a characteristic of an intake manifold leak or some other type of leak? The oil drips from the back of the engine, and when i stick my hand behind the manifold there is a little oil on it. Also the oil on the floor was really dirty and I just changed my oil yesterday??? Thanks for your help guys.

If your car is an auto, pop off the dust cover over the torque converter and check to make sure that your rear main seal hasn't gone bad. For a manual car take off the inspection plate and see if oil is sprayed all over the back of your flywheel.

If it's not the rear main seal, then it's most likely just the intake manifold. That oil will drip over the body of the trasmission and pick up any grime that may have gotten there from dirt and dust on the road.

mine did the same thing. there is a drain hole on the cover to the trans. When you park level, it will let it drain out. When you park at an angle, it will let it collect in the pan, because the drain hold is at the front of the pan.

It is probably the IM leak. I just had a feeling it was on mine. I popped off the manifold and saw a quarter inch of gunk behind it

Mine got to the point where it just suddenly left huge spots, like the size of cds or so in about a week. Before that they were the size of a dime or quarter.
