what stall and trans cooler?

I am going to buy a stall but i have no idea what to get. I have LT headers Cai and will have 3:73 gears. The car is mostly a daily driver but i race on the weekends. The wife also has to drive the car but she loves speed too. I will be putting in a cam late next year but want this stuff now

What kind of trans cooler do you recomend and any other equipment for theys new mods?

for a stock motor, a 2800-3000 stall would be perfect. i recommend vigilante, mine is great. it is barely noticeable. it still trys to roll forward at stoplights, just like stock.
you will need a tranny cooler, shift kit.
you will like the 3.73/2800 stall combo i promise

when you add the higher stall, it will cause the shifts to feel sluggish. i have the transgo shift kit on level 3, it shift just a little harder than it did stock.

FWIW my 78K miles stock trans held 356rwhp/349rwtq for less than 10 seconds, then it DIED.

I heard the trans go at thunderracing (above link) actually improves transmission life the ones that just increase the line pressure create more heat, and the heat kills the trans. I agree with a 2800 b/c your mostly stock. But when you get a cam in it that might not give you the most power depending on the cam. Personally I can't go to higher on a 95 ta b/c of obd1 and I'm going w/ a 2800 also b/c I it's more streetable. I already have a trans. oil cooler I got it from my friends dad he had it siting in his garage he was going to put it on his mint condition 79 aniv. ta but he sold it before he got the chance. It's the biggest one you can get it's made for moblehomes . My engine runs hotter now expecually at high speeds not as much air can get in there but I know my trans. is just chilling, literaly!
