VIR Holiday Laps

This is your chance to drive your street legal car through the twists and turns of VIR for charity.
Admission: New toys or nonperishable food items valuing at least $25. Donations will be given to the Salvation Army.

I called the operator up and she said its pace car controlled so you won't be going faster than highway speeds, but for people like me who can't afford to road race their bike or car its a great way to get out on the track for next to nothing.

Is anybody else going to check this out? I'll be up about noon hopefully.

 

... come on out in Feb to see how accessable open track events are to the public. I'll be there with N.A.S.A.-VA on the 21st and 22nd. Admission is free to watch the action.
