Cheap performance is a myth....

It goes as far as the 3dollar TB by pass.

This might just be a dream but heres my idea
4.10's and drag radials, tuneing +
current mods - MSD ignition 1.6 rocker rollers, hooker lt's, cai, magna catback
Think I could pull a 12.9 out of that possibly?

You wont get there without good tires and a launch, not unless you have enough power to spin all the way down the track and still run a 12.9.

Cheapest would be..
CAI
Headers
Gears
Hotcam kit
cutout
DR's or ET streets.
TC if auto.

That should get you well beyond 12.9, thats a pretty cheap way about it.

gah.. I hit 12's w/ just headers, 2800 stall, cold air, nitto's, catback and a bolt on tune from pcmforless...

should be able to duplicate the same with a 6spd and a good launch, provided you can drive.

You don't need a cam to hit 12's.... granted, I've got a cam now, but I'm much deeper into the 12's than where I started

That's becasue you have an Auto...things are a bit different in the manual world. No magic TQ converter to knock .5 off your time.

It's not magic.. it's all in the launch..

I've seen people cut 1.7's on bolt on LT1 6spd cars.. it's just a matter of driving it out of your car Yes, the torque converter makes it easier for me, and I chose it that way

With MAC headers, drag radials, 3.73s, free mods and PCM tuning, I went 12.88 @ 108.5, on the stock heads, cam, and converter. It is VERY possible.
