How do you know when and how much to adjust Koni SA shocks?

I just recieved my Koni SA front shocks and my ST 35mm sway bar. I am just waiting on the Bilstien rears to install them. How do I know if I should adjust them. When I ordered them I was told to set the fronts 1.5 turns from full soft to start with. Does this sound like a good starting point?

Um, that's interesting..... The fronts don't have the ability to actually make a "turn" because of the window the Koni uses to adjust them. I always run them @ or above half-way to full hard. Usually I go to full hard and back them off about 4 sweeps, which *if* there were turns would be, in theory, around 1.5 up from full soft................ Sometimes I tell folks that, just so they have an understanding of the window and the sweeps vs. the **** and turns utilized on the rear Koni's.

On mine there is about 10 sweeps from full soft to full hard. I guess a sweep would be about 1/3 of a turn so 1.5 turns sounds about right. I usually run about in the middle on the street and two to three sweeps more for competition.

I run mine a little firmer (I know, I'm went against Sam's advice ). Maybe I'll try backing off mine a little next season.
