Angry HATE Lt1's, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.................

ok, well 2 weeks ago i knew my opti went out so i replaced it along with wires, plugs, new PCV valve, new fuel filter, new coil, and i think that might be it...well i put those plastic covers over the wire so the plug wires wont get messed up, well after like a week of driving my car, i was backing up a driveway sorta steep, then all the sudden the car started to kinda shake real bad as if it wasnt firing all the pistons (before this happend i had the plastic cover over the wire melt onto the wire, which i think it coulda caused this problem, also which i havent really looked at the whole wire yet..) well yea it wasnt firing all the pistons it felt like...so i thought mu opti went out again cause i saw some coolant on the plugs, so i was like ok yet thats it..so today got in my new DYNASPARK, and ITS NOT THE ****ING PROBLEM, does the same damn thing....i just hope it is my wires so i can go replace the wire...the car runs slow now, has no power whatso ever....i think my mom's V6 FORD F150 can beat my car at this moment.... wtf is the damn problem????
please help
thanks
randy

sounds like you have a burnt wire or fouled plug then

If you saw coolant on the plugs, then you've likely got a headgasket problem, or a head problem.

A bad coil can cause the bucking and misfiring problem too.

I' try swapping out the coil, and doing a compression check.

yeah if you FOR SURE saw coolant on the plugs then its a serious problem, for sure not related to ignition. It could be headgasket related most likely..... You sure it was'nt unburned fuel you saw on the plugs?

Do a VERY close inspection of the coil wires. A burnt/arcing wire can cause that stumbling and bucking.

I think he meant the wire boots on the opti, not the actual spark plugs.

Open your oil fill cap and look under it.
If you see some white goo then you have blown a head gasket.
if you don't you may have still blown the head gasket but maybe in between 2 cylinders.
Good Luck.

hmm i dunno then if thats what he meant, i would do a close inspection of all wires and consider re-routing them if you've had problems with this before. Was that the original factory opti before the dynaspark??

also the coolant on the plugs was from MY stupid self, i think i knocked off some of the silicon gasket stuff and it caused it to leak from the waterpump....

Don't use plastic covering on the wires. If it melted onto the wire then you most likely burnt the sleeving and caused a short. Inspect the wires and if need be replace them and cover them with Fyrebraid sleeving from Jeg's.
