Play in steering wheel?

I have some play in my steering wheel, it is not much, but after driving a friend's 2000 TA, I definitely noticed this. What causes this? Air in power steering lines? Worn rag joint? Any guesses, or causes would be appreciated.

Probably the rag joint. Unbalanced Engineering has a fix:

It could also be worn tie rods. Probably not air in the system though.

I just had an alignment done about 2 months ago, and they replaced one of the tie rods then, should they have replaced both?
