I thought it was supposed to be cheaper if you got one set of pads over the other?? Can it be had for even less if you dont want either set of those pads?

sorry if this is a stupid question, but when you say the kit comes with a set of hoses, are you talking about Stainless Steel Brake lines, regular Z06 brake lines, or somehting different all together??

I'm very interested in this kit...

Thanks

... you'd have to contact the parts dept to get the exact price. The hoses mentioned where for the stock Z06 hoses. The kit is available anyway you want it. If you want to get the SS hoses from Russell, you don't have to get them as part of the kit. If you don't want either the HAwks or the GMPP pads, you can do that, too.
Contact Bob Bishop for the adapter brakets.

Will this kit work with 16" wheels?

No. You'd have to buy the LS1 steering knuckle and the brake parts (pad abutement brackets, rotors, calipers, pads, bolts and hoses) and do the LS1 upgrade. You can still use the same hub and suspension, just change out what it all hangs on.
Must run (min) 17" wheels for the Z06 stuff.

So if i dont want the Z06 hoses (brake lines), but want SS lines instead, how much would my total price be?

if you don't need (or want) some part of the kit, it won't be included in the price. just call an price out what you need (or want), then you'll be able to buy the S.S. hoses elsewhere.
just remember to order them as Z06 parts, not Camaro parts.

The advantages of the aluminum brackets over the steel version are:
1. They weigh 1.5 lbs/bracket less, or 3 lbs less per pair.
2. They measured slightly less deflection than the steel in the lab tests.
3. They look a WHOLE LOT more attractive.

A real world advantage is that they will shortly be available through a sponsor on this board with normal payment options. I am sure some people have been reluctant to mail a check to a total stranger.
