What longtubes are you guys using? FLP's, Kooks, etc?

Looking at getting a set of FLP's that are for sale in my area. I will need longtubes with cats b/c of NJ inspection. I have the G2 subframes with v-braces and am worried that I will have a lot of issues with this.

I would like to find a longtube that will give max clearance and max low end and top end torque/hp. I plan on lowering my car a little in the future as well.

What do all you road racers use? I may do some autox in the future as well.

Thanks!!

FLPs. I run a prokit as well. Don't have any real ground clearance issues. You just have to be a bit careful about what you go over. Y pipe does get pretty close to KBDD subframes on the driver's side. Mike

I'm interested in this as well. I've heard the TPIS long tubes have good ground clearance, anyone have experience with them?

SLP w/Bilstein Suspension.

Ground Clearance issues? Yes.

Power? Yes

Do I care? No. If it develops a scrape hole, take it to the welding shop for cosmetic surgery.

I am running FLP's as well, although if I were buying today I would not buy FLP again.

But you will not have any problems with FLP's and your LG SFC's.

I have the FLP's and like them very much so far. I don't have a webpage written up for them yet but you can get pics and info here:

Many thanks to Jon A for showing us that awesome install on the FLP's. The other choice for me would be the QTP's for my 02 hawk.

I'm running FLP's.
The only ground clearance issue I have is over badly designed speed bumps. Other than that, they sit up really nice and high, I'd say at least as good as the stock setup (I'd scrape that on these bumps too). The headers definitely gave me some nice power throughout the band (picked up over 10 rwhp with only minor bolt ons through a 12 bolt).

They're definitely beautiful headers that fit real nice. The coating looks great and they just slipped into place (took the shop about 1.5 hours to do the whole install).

If you're interested in autocross in the NJ area, the M Club autocrosses in the Giants Stadium area. They're going to open up a winter series soon.
