combination motorsports springs...

somebody mentioned in a thread about some valvesprings, retainers, and locks from combination motorsports... capable of handling a high amount of lift. the kit was said to be like 89 bucks... anyways, just wanted to know if this was true, and if so, what was the part number for that kit.. thanks...

I think they call them CMS 612 springs. They're good to .600 lift, and require no machining or shims. They were 90 or 95 bucks(including retainers and locks) when I got them.

They have good springs at good prices. They have lots of springs to chose from and they do have a SINGLE spring retainer and lock set up that will handle a .600 lift IF SET UP AT THE CORRECT HT.
An XE 224-230 or maybe a 230-236 will be about as large as I would wanna go with THIS spring set up. Even though the travel and presure is there, a cam larger than this will posibly be turning 6800 RPM or so and I would recommend the DOUBLE spring set up instead. It is not much more but if you give Comb. Motorsport a call (702-798-8504) and tell them the lift, rpm range, driving style and how often you wanna (or do not wanna) change valve springs, they will get you what you want/need.

These people are very easy to work with and they have a pretty good amount of knowledge on cams, spring pressures, etc.
