What cam should i get to match my head flow numbers...

Just got the flow numbers from the machine shop for my LT1 heads...
IN (2.00")
254cfm

EX (1.570")
194cfm

Average EX to IN %: (.100 - .700) 76%

What cam will go the best with these numbers? The intake manifold was also ported..i have an SLP CAI and Flowmaster exhaust ..3" mandrel bent catback. I still need to get headers too...
Educated suggestions would be a lot of help..
Thanx

At what lift were those values obtained? What about the flow at the rest of the valve lift points?

A Hot Cam will be a good candidate. Depends on what you're looking for power wise, and how you're going to use your car.
The exhaust numbers look good. The intake #'s, although not bad, could always be made better.

on a side note...i got this work done by my sponsor CFM Performance in Indianapolis at no cost to me. I have 2 sets of heads/intake manifolds....so it's not like my car is down while i work out the details.

ohh it should lope

realisticly what are you looking for?

I would look at some of the Crane and Lunati h/r grinds. Or call their tech line's give them your flow #'s and tell them what you want. Then have a cam ground to fit your needs, off their recomendations .

Realistically speaking...-eventually- being the key word here....
I want to get a forged bottom end from C Motorsports so i can put a little spray to it for ***** and giggles and put the new heads and intake manifold on...I would be happy with 400-450 horsies at the crank...The nitrous would just be for fun and not for a while...I'm not looking to make my car a drag car or anything...sure I'd like some good times at the track..but I'm not doin slicks or anything. I go to a lot of shows with my car club and that is what I'm having fun doing right now...when the time comes for the engine to come together, then I'll hit the track a few times to see what kind of times I get..

Anyone else have any insight? if the 242/242Xr is gonna be a good choice..I'd like someone to second that opinion and i need a part number and specs if possible....the machine shop guy wants to know what springs to use...that is why I need to know about the cam right now

Is this a daily driver? Transmission? Rear end? That makes a lot of difference. I made the numbers in the sig. with a 230/236-112 cam. It really doesn't drive all that different from stock. The power really builds at high RPM. A lot of people just go big on the cam without realizing that it might not be so fun to drive. If you are wondering, the 230/236 is totally streetable. I have driven it all over the place in Los Angeles traffic. I even drove almost 400 miles this weekend and got over 20 miles to the gallon. That, and roasted a mustang along the way...

I dont know about the spacific 242/242 solid roller mentioned, but i ran a 242/248 585/586 112lsa solid roller on the stock bottom end.

It was nice, no surge at all with no tuning. But make sure you want a solid roller- no knock sensor, adjusting lash, loud/difrent valvetrain noise.

But if you want MAX power, solid roller is the only way to go.

That being said i also ran a 230/236 xe hyd roller and made about 400rwhp/375 rwtq.

you're asking us to pick the thing that will set the character of your engine without telling us anything much about it besides flow numbers. what are you doing with it 383, 396? how do you drive it, where do you want the power to be whats the final compression you plan to have what kind of stall and gearing will you have eventually. what i'm saying is help us help you. theres guys here who can flat nail a cam selection they just need specifics. another thing is how rough of an idle are you willing to deal with.
