Head and cam package down on power

I just finished installing ported heads, cc 306 cam, hydra rev kit, lunati timing set, and every other new valve train componet and the car does not feel much faster. With just bolt ons before heads and cam the car ran 13.54@104.44 wit 2.2 60ft time. Tried it after heads and cam and it ran a 13.4 at 107.WTF Car is a 6sp and has alot of suspension work. Stock programming. Heads flowed 250in @ 5.50 and 176ex with stock size valves. Intake was ported to match

Stock programming!! That doesnt help. I am experiencing the same problem, but it is my programming and a dyno tune will fix that. I am running about the same times as I was, but trapping a lot faster, just like you, kind of wierd.

I know stock programming is not helping but I was shooting fo 400 rwhp when I was putting this package together. The car has a decent idle and the valves are quiet. Is the programming that big of a limitation with my set up??

400 rwhp is alot!! You'll have to get it tweaked on a dyno to even come close to that. I ran quicker et's than u did when my car was stock. The computer is what tells the motor to do everything. Get the computer fixed, and your car will be fixed. Good luck on 400 rwhp. Post it if u get it.

The previous 60' time was terrible. What was your 60' time after the heads/cam?

Back when I first had heads/cam on my car with bolt ons, I remember my first pass was in the high 12's but my sixty foot time was 1.8 something. Mine was a stick at the time and after programming I was generally running 12.5's.
