what springs/retainers?

I just picked up a set of comp pro magnum 1.6 rr's 3/8 studs. I also got the LT4 KM. I want to pick up everything i will need to prepare the heads for a future cam swap. What springs, push rods, ect should i get to do it right and where should i get it. Please be as descriptive as possible as i am not realy knowledgeable on valve train components. Also, i will be running the stock cam with this set up for atleast 6 months with a comp cams XE 224/230 or 230/236 going in later this year. Thanks

Regards
Scoobs

cmotorsports has springs that will work without machining the head. Good to .600 lift. I think they are about 90 bucks. Need some 40 dollar hardened puchrods too. I would get some 10 degree locks and retainers. Standard steel is fine. Call them; they can take all the guess work out as far as parts.

I just put some 1.46 OD springs on my heads and no machine shop work was needed. Actually fit just fine. I also used valve seats also. If the seats don't fit, the springs wont.

CCA-977-16 springs

The only thing I had to modify was the 2 washers for the heads. It had to have two flat spots to fit between the springs. Right between the exhaust valves on 3&5 and 4&6.
