I have the stock ribbed PP in my car. My disk is about 1/16-1/32 away from the rivits. This obviously means time for a replacement, so, I look throught the threads for info. I find that Advanced Auto has the replacement for $200. I mosh on over and pick it up, seeing it has the flat finger PP and Valeo stammped on it. Now, I get back and do more reading and for some reason LT4 PP starts standing out in my mind.
Well, what kinda PP DO I have??? My stock unit worked fine but did have some slipping, but only if I gunned the hell out of it and tried to slip the clutch (juuuuuuuuust a little) off the line. If I dropped it to the floor (at 2k), the car would gag and choke a seconed but still hold and take off, so, it did have some holding power for stock.
I dont do a lot of burn outs or give it track treatment. I dont like to shock the cars system with hard launches so I am fairly sure I will have enough clutch as is with the new unit.
I am, however, wondering how far off the LT4 PP setup I am with the unit I have? PT#NU31265 DYNAPAK
Oh, and if you have one of these, whats the pedal feel like over stock? Thanks.
