Abs Inop

What the hell is this and why in the world has it all the sudden come on?? Usually it comes on while I am driving so I turn the motor off real quick and then back on. It goes away but then comes back whenever it feels like it. I do have a misfire right now and I notice that it does come on sometimes...but then again, sometimes it doesn't come on. Could it be some sort of ABS sensor? And just is getting hooked on something and jiggling it? Thanks!!!

Are your headers long tubes? If so, check the wire harness that goes down the back of the strut tower (or somewhere in there). Your ABS wire for the pass. front wheel is in that harness. Mine got burned to a crisp. I just redid the wire and ran it out of the way, no more ABS INOP light.

if you do a search on here you'll find that if your center mount brake light goes out it may throw that light, so maybe a bad ground there. Other possibilities are that your brake fluid is dirty or has air in the lines, a sensor is bad or in poor alignment, loose sensor wireing harness. Or my favorite: you swapped in a 4 channel abs rear end with no reluctor gear for your cars 3 channel system.......ignore that last one, thats just the reason why mines on

good luck.
