Spinnin' My Tires

Ok, this may sound stupid but Im still new to my Camaro and I just want to make sure. If I Slam on the gas to make my tires spin, am I causing and damage to anything? Thanks everybody.

ok well, first your causing damage to your tires

Your putting a lot of stress on the engine/drivetrain pretty much any time you do something like that, so be aware that with lots of smokey burnouts and red line runs your definitely reducing the lifespan of your drivetrain. That being said, if you can drive one of these cars for 100k miles without doing any of that stuff, check for a pulse

nah, chirping them and lettin them free every once in a while is alright, just don't make a habbit of it, or do it long enough to get your car to heat up or anything. your tires will wear our quite a bit faster if you do it often
