I'm 99.9% sure that is a big YES. Headers, CAI, rockers, Cam... all could void your warrenty. Although my friend has a 95Z with all the bolt-ons and had some warrenty work done dispite his mods. If you mod w/ a valid warrenty you are taking the chance. That's why I'm waiting for mine to expire.

No, unless it affects the emission of your vehicle ;shorty no /long tube yes. Alot of dealers try to get out of working on cars by saying this and that voids warranty. But they must prove it. Besides SLP sales headers

Zjoker,

really? I was always under the impression that headers would void my warrenty? Wow... maybe In need to make a new purchase

Can anyone else verify this? Not that I don't trust Zjoker's words... I don't want to waste te 2k I put down for an extended warrenty.

Legally, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to the failure in the vehicle (per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C)) . For best results, consider working with performance-oriented dealerships with a proven history of working with customers. If your vehicle manufacturer fails to honor emission/warranty claims, contact EPA at (202) 260-2080 or www.epa.gov. If federal warranty protection is denied, contact the FTC at (202) 326-3128 or www.ftc.gov. For additional information, check out the following links:
Will this clear it up
No dealer is will to invest in test and research to prove it.

Well its my good fortune that my son is also my GM mechanic. If he won't cover a warrenty issue do to a mod I would just have to give him a spanking in front of his service manager.
