I don't know what it is called but thanks to ever turned the ability to preview each thread without having to go into the thread itself. This option I really like.

Nah, that was just Brooke being a dingleberry on a bunch of his posts by using brackets. If you put your text inside brackets you won't get a thread preview.

In the page where you view all the threads in a particular forum, hold your mouse cursor over a thread title and the first sentance or two of the thread will pop up as a preview.
