Not sure if it has been suggested before but what about a Pet sub section to the lounge?

You would click on the Lounge and then have a choice of subsections like guns, pets, etc.

Lots of pet threads keep popping up.

 

We will start utilizing thread prefixes by the new year. They are nice because you will be able to search based on prefix and/or usual keyword. Plus, it is easy to do a visual scan of things in a single forum without having to make several forums that each get used only a little bit. Check the Regional sections for a basic example.

 

There are a vast amount of sites dedicated to pets. I am helping out with this site: http://www.birdboard.com (for example), and it has a section for "other pets" which in this case are dogs and cats primarily. However there are wonderful sites for all types of pets.

I think the level of knowledge that most people searching for pet information are looking for is beyond a casual pet picture area or something.
