First I'd like to say kudos on the images. Great addition!

Would it be possible for us to limit image size posted in threads? Maybe 800x600 tops? Or even 640x480? Last thing we need is thread formatting screwed every other thread because somebody posts the original res shot frmo his 8.7 megapixel camera.

 

My thought exactly. 640x480.

If possible, make every picture posted basically an automatic thumbnail to view the original version just by clicking on it.

640x480 is big enough to actually see 95% of the detail in a picture, yet small enough to never mess with the page sizing.

If that clicking thing was possible, that would be awesome and the best of both worlds.

 

Everyone wanted image posting, there you go. We cannot control the size of images on other servers.

We will look into options on how to make things a bit better in that department, but for right now, it is up to the poster of the thread. Ask them not to post such large images if it is a problem.

Just a head's up, we may have found a basic solution to large images screwing up the board layout. We expect to implement it in the near future after some other necessary changes are done. Just letting you all know!
