If I try and post a link to a video (instead of an Autostream embed), I cannot post. When I hit "Submit New Thread", it will get me the error:

Something went wrong - autostream module 1-32300 : transport error - HTTP status code was not 200

That is all it says on the page.

Tested on two systems:
Mac 10.6
FireFox 4.0.1

You may experience that here and there as we work bugs out with new releases of the player. Is it still happening?

Yes, just tested it and it's still happening.

Example: I want "Europe - The Final Countdown" to show up as that text. It doesn't matter if I manually do it (code by hand), or use the forum tool bar to place the link.

Example with a non-video link:
Europe - The Final Countdown
(That will take you CZ28's home page, and it works as it's not a video).

If I try the above with a YouTube link, I will get the "200" error. It's like if Autostream CANNOT embed the video in the post, you CANNOT post.

Also, another bug (not sure if you want a new post/here/elsewhere):

If I let Autostream embed the link (like your 311 video), and I need to edit the post, it breaks the Autostream code and makes it useless. It will no longer embed the video, nor turn it into a link.

PLUS, If I go to edit my post (both with quick and advanced) I cannot get the embed back. That "post" is now flagged and will NOT embed Autostream. I am able to post the video link, as a link.

Problem:
Once you edit a post with Autostream, it will break the embed feature, and you can no longer get it back.

I posted the video. Autostream embeded the video. I did a quick edit and added the smiley face, which broke the code. Any edit will break it.

However, I can "preview" the post fine (as link to text), I just cannot submit the post.

Okay...what happens if you simply place the link...just copy and paste and post...no adding the URL tags, etc.

If I do that, Autostream will embed the link for me (unless I go back and edit the post ). Just a normal copy/paste link is fine. It's only when I don't want to use Autostream is it an issue.

Also, I swear this is not a "bashing" Autostream thread. Just a bug thread.

Seriously, though...we can't have it erroring out like that so I will alert the development team. Sorry I didn't fully understand the problem at first.

Did I mention that we will make it so when it does embed...it will also give the user a choice to not use the lightbox but to open the video in a new page? Just wanted to make sure you caught that. It is expected in the next version, which I hope is deployed very soon. That way, you don't need to worry about it.
