I dont have a camaro, but......

I did just purchase a 94 lt1 out of one.. I have complete drive train, harness and pcm, I will be swapping the motor into a 1983 jaguar xj6, I will no doubt have questions as I go along, but just want to say hello before jumping in!!!
I used to be a mechanic back in late 80 and early 90s, and everything was either no computer or obd1, I did make sure I got obd1, as that's the sytem.i know, (well, knew.. lol it's been a while since I fooled with that stuff).
So... hello from sunny Florida!

Welcome to CamaroZ28.com ! ! !

Glad to see another LT1 enthusiast join the group. I have never owned a Camaro either, but I've had my 94 Formula with the LT1 for 25 years. We're here to help.

You may find some forums or internet info about LT1/Jag swaps. I've seen numerous signatures with that conversion over the years.

My step brother in law's Jag. He is from Romania and I only understand every other word he says, so probably can't be of much help ;-)

She's in and a runner!!! Ignore the metal strap holding up the pcm, that was something i had laying around, its not a steel strap across there drilled and threaded, so pcm is going nowhere... The difference between the 4.2 straight 6 and this is beyond night and day!!! Im sure the hotcam kit had a littlle to do with that, but it wouldnt be running at all if it werent for Injuneer! He's a wealth of information!!

In all her glory.... Still need to get exhaust sorted, need to get it out the back, not dumped under rear seat! Also need to find somewhere to make me some new ac lines up.. but thats it!!

Thanks for sharing your success! Very impressive conversion. Looks like the chassis and the LT1 engine were made for each other.

And thanks too for the positive feedback. Makes the effort even more worthwhile. I really enjoy a challenge like this.
