Help identifying CNC ported LT1 heads

Hey guys I just purchased a set of used 643 heads that have been CNC ported for $150.00, I can tell from the machining marks that they were CNC ported but there are no identifying markings on the heads. And I know that there weren't very many shops that were CNC'ing LT1 heads, so if any you guys have Ai 190/200, CNC Heads or any other head that's CNC ported can you tell me if there are any identifying marks to tell who did the heads, thanks in advance for any help?

Re: Help identifying CNC ported LT1 heads

CNC Cylinder Heads in Pinellas Park, FL 5-axis CNC ported a set of LT4 heads for me in late 1999). I do not recall any identifying marks. I have a couple pictures on my PC, but they are mostly the combustion chambers. I’ll look at those when I get back to my PC. Could also check my car, but there’s snow blocking the garage door. I did see a post on another forum that they found “CNC” stamped on the front of the passenger side head (which would probably mean they would find it on the back of the driver side head).

Lingenfelter was also CNC porting LT1/LT4 heads at that time. The owner of CNC Cylinder Heads, Pete Incaudo, claimed he sold the CNC machine(s) to Lingenfelter, and set them up. I've heard he also supplied Callaway with heads.

Re: Help identifying CNC ported LT1 heads

Injuneer,

That might be my post you're referring to. I picked up a car that was extensively modified, and it was alleged to have AFRs. However, there's no marking I can find that matches any current or former AFR casting. All I can see is what looks to be "CNC 1054" or "CNC 1064" stamped on the face of the driver's side head. They don't have chamfered edges like AI does with theirs, so these came from somewhere else. They're definitely stock castings. I'd be interested to hear what markings, if any, are on your Incaudo heads. There can't be that many places with a CNC program for old LT1 stuff.

Re: Help identifying CNC ported LT1 heads

I looked at my LT4 heads. The driver side did not have anything on the machined front surface (which does not have an ICM bolted to it - easy to see), but on the front, on an as-cast portion of the driver side head, there was a large "P" (Pete ?) neatly stamped into it. Couldn't see anything on the passenger side, since it's blocked by the accessory bracket and everything else on that side of the engine.

Re: Help identifying CNC ported LT1 heads

I cleaned the heads a little bit and both heads have C9 stamped on the front of each head, anyone know who's heads these are?

Post a picture of the combustion chamber, maybe someone can identify them by a pic.
