Re: turbo/charger

The “.... Lounge” isn’t the best place for tech help. I can move this to the “Forced Induction” forum if you want.

Even there, not as much traffic as there used to be.

Re: turbo/charger

I would start with a 350 before a 305. And it will read up on some SAE books title "Turbochargers" and "Superpower".They should be available on line or maybe at your local library. Check with your local engine builders as well. Supercharged engines are not cheap to build. I will give you some perimeters ,especially if you a decent amount of boost. A good 4 bolt main 350 block.A forged crankshaft.and rods.A set of turbocharger forged dished pistons.A good set of good flowing heads .Iron heads are fine,But aluminum are better, 2.02 intake/1.60 exhaust stainless A Performer is fine but there are some that might be better.A custom camshaft. A free flowing exhaust system..twin and or single .It depends on you and your budget. The rest of the power train ,suspension and brakes might have be upgraded as well. Mine 1979 Z-28 RS Camaro isn`t turbocharged but it is supercharged with a Weiand mini blower. And makes over 500 HP.But the basics are the same .Just keep doing your research and decide on what you want and can afford. It took me two years to cllect the parts as funds became available Good luck to you.
