Scary headlight wiring help

Okay so this is how I got car when I bought it and I am wondering what kind of job I am getting into, as a side note, the car has 2 switches one does nothing other turns on all 4 headlights when the actual headlight switch is on, or if you switch the switch in the car goes to second function of 2 of the lights where the outside of headlight has separate blue light, and the high beam switch turns on some aftermarket fog lights. I cannot get brights nor can I turn off all 4 headlights Top of engine compartment

Let me know anything that you may think will help out, thanks in advance

Re: Scary headlight wiring help

Are you wanting to go back to stock lights, or just cleanup what is there and make the second switch work?

Re: Scary headlight wiring help

I would like to go back to stock, however I think the job might be out of my skill level, so if just rewiring so I can have just 2 lights on and can turn on the other 2 lights on as brights, i would be happy, unless going to stock would be easiest, but it seems the person who did the lights removed all of the stock components,

Re: Scary headlight wiring help

It looks like the wiring in your pictures is all new. Does it look like the stock wires were untouched? If so, I think going back to stock could be as simple as removing the after market lights and wiring, then replacing stock lights.

If the wires are hacked, both fixes will take some work.

If the after market setup is where you would rather stay, do you have any information about the lights, or if there was a kit, do you have a manual?

Re: Scary headlight wiring help

The headlight area was gutted but I think the oem plugs are in the top of my engine bay I will take a pic later today, as far as the aftermarket lights I have no info on them they appear to be a set and I think they are rally lights, the replacement bulb was odd it has wire off the bottom of the bulb, which I have never seen rather than just plug in lights, but by this evening I will post what I think maybe the oem plugs

Re: Scary headlight wiring help

It looks like the bracket is there. You could get any of the missing mounting stuff pretty cheap at the junk yard.

Re: Scary headlight wiring help

Don’t be intimidated by wiring diagrams. There should be some factory wiring left and if so you can read the colors of the wires. I’d go with what someone above said and source parts from a junkyard and get the wiring as well.

Re: Scary headlight wiring help

It is really hard to tell. That just looks like hack wiring strapped to stock wires. Look behind the lights themselves to see if there are any plugs that are not corrected to anything, or if it looks like the stock wires were spliced into.

At very least they look kinda cool.

Re: Scary headlight wiring help

Maybe that will help with trying to figure what kind of lights they are, they don't look bad I just wish I could get the center 2 to turn off unless I put brights on as I think will give the impression that I am driving with brights on, and yeah I called all the local junk yards they have some newer camero but no 1995, and I am not sure if other years headlights will work in the car
