sluggish cranking when hot
I have new stock starter, stock exhaust manifold and pipe. I really don't think that the heat from the stock set-up should cause any issues, but it seems that after running the car for any extended time then trying to re-start, I get a very sluggish reaction from the starter. Any suggestions?

^^^this and confirm the battery cables are solid and good connection. Also confirm the alternator output is good (14+ VDC)
the "new" stock starter may be failing. Many op for the Vette starter as it is smaller, a gear reduction type and cheaper than a F or B body LT1 starter. Autozone is where I and many got theirs
