BCM Location...

I'm replacing my BCM with a new one from gmpartsdirect.com for a number or reasons, and its on its way...now i know that it is located on the passenger side behind the glove box somewhere but I was wondering if anyone has a decent picture of the location, and also if it would be easier for me to remove the kick panel on the passenger side to access it, or if it would be easier to remove the glove box to access the BCM for when I replace it...any info on either of these questions is greatly appreciated..thanks!

Re: BCM Location...

its the body control module for my 96 formula....93-95 have their VATS control modules, and i know that 96-97 have BCMs that control VATS, power door locks, dome lights, remote entry...stuff like that..and im not sure what the 98-02's have...i have seen two pics so far...one on brent franker's site, and i forget where the other one came from...but they just show a part of the BCM...not the location or anything...

Re: BCM Location...

It's only a couple of screws take them both off. You can look though one hole and work though the other.

Re: BCM Location...

I have a 2013 Camaro and recently some dude ran a red light and hit my car on the passenger side. i’m currently getting my exterior repaired but need to go somewhere else to get my interior fixed. my radio shoots out and it’s getting worse to the point i even turn off my radio and it still shoots out. my air conditioner will turn off and then come back on as well and the lights on my gauges will dim too. is it the BCM? and if so can you PLEASE tell me the location of it? i simply cannot find the BCM on my 2013 Camaro whatsoever. please and thank y’all for those that reply !

Re: BCM Location...

Hi Giovanni,

You’ll have better luck posting a separate thread in the correct forum. This thread is about a 1996, and it’s in the 1967-2002 forum.

That said, we don’t have a lot of fifth gen folks around here anymore, so you might not get an answer anyway.

Good luck!
