Well isn't the Z-2 the polish? (Don't own it so I don't know the #'s yet). But if Z2 is thge polish that is what you will get the shine with.

It sounds as if you put too much on, if it took two hours to wipe it off. Properly applied Zaino will wipe off as fast as you can wipe.

You applied it too thick, one bottle of Z-5 should do you car 14 to 16 times, less than one ounce will do the entire car, it should not take more than about 20 min to wipe the car off. You will want to stick with the Z-5 for several coats in a row as Z-5 fills in layers, put about 3 or 4 coats of Z-5 on by itself with no Z-1 to gradually fill in the scratches and swirls and THEN switch to the Z-2. You have to remember, Zaino is not a wax, it should not be clumped on the surface. No wax can hold up to the heat and weather like Zaino can, Zaino is to paint protection what Mobil 1 or Red Line is to motor oil, whereas wax will break down at about 135 degrees on the surface of a car (darkers colors on an 85 degree day in direct sunlight have surface temps around 200 degrees) Zaino actually loves heat and will cure with temperature.

Yes, you used WAY too much, more than anyone I have ever heard of one just one coat, your lucky 3 ounces EVER dried. No hard rubbing is needed with Zaino, BUT you need to put it on in back and forth (not round and round) long, smooth, even strokes like putting butter on bread, the polish should look uniform on the surface in lines as wide as the applicator pad. Properly applied, from 15 feet away you should not even be able to tell that the paint has polish on it.

The only reason for hard rubbing is the mild abrasives for cleaning, which many waxes have. Zaino has NO abrasives and does not need to be rubbed in, just spread evenly and thinnly.

Keep track of how much you apply. With practice you'll get it down to 1 oz. and then down to 0.5 oz.

Remember Z2 reflects light better than Z5 - the zaino website suggests that you finish off with a z2 layer over the z5

Yep, both Z2 and Z5 should be applied VERY thin for best results. I like foam applicators best for applying Zaino. They seem to distribute product very thin and evenly, and soak up MUCH less polish than the cotton apps IMHO. AJ, on your Camaro, you should be getting about 2 coats per ounce with Z2/Z5. Practice makes perfect with Zaino getting thin, even coats. It's quite a change applying Zaino thin versus other "waxes" that you may have applied heavily in the past. After a few coats worth of practice, you'll see what we mean about Zaino being a breeze to wipe off and improving in wetness and clarity.

Two coats, amateurs . If you keep the applicator damp you can pull three coats out of a single ounce. If you use the new zfx you can put three coats on a day . With zaino there is no such thing as to thin.
