Zaino and Silicone
Zaino and Silicone
Does Zaino contain this? Either the Z2/5/FX/detailing spray? Just wondering b/c I got a few pieces painted today, and asked when I could polish. I was told I could do so at anytime w/ products that don't contain silicone, but wait a month if so. If it doesn't contain silicone, which I don't think it does, would you all go ahead and put a coat on the newly painted parts? Thanks!

I detailed and "Zainoed" my sisters Mustang 2 days after she had it returned from the bodyshop, where the door and front fender were repainted, and there were no problems
I had always been told to wait anywhere from a couple of weeks, to a couple of months before applying anything to new paint, but I contacted Sal, along with my Zaino distributor, and they both assured me it was OK to go ahead and Zaino the car.

Zaino does NOT contain silicone. Sal generally recommends waiting 1-2 weeks before applying Zaino. If known people who have applied just Z-2 or Z-5 (no Z-1 or ZFX) before they took the car from the paint shop, with no problems.
