zaino
Re: zaino
I used to use Zaino...not my thing. The stuff never lasted long and the bottles kept drying up and going bad. I'll stick with Pinnacle and DP waxes.
Also, when people post pictures of their "shine", it doesn't come from the Zaino, it comes from paint prep. Put Zaino on ****ty paint and it will look ****ty. Put Zaino on nice, swirl-free paint with minimal defects, and it will look awesome (but so will Turtle Wax).

Re: zaino
Everyone has personal preferences and favorites. Zaino is my favorite sealant, and I have not used anything that lasts longer.
Try a few and see what you like best (and don't forget to properly prep).

As for it's durability, in my experiences, it has outlasted any wax I've used. Sure wax will provide a nice shine, but see if it still beads after a couple of weeks. I've received comments from some of my customers remarking how after not washing their cars for a couple of weeks, and after being rained on, the car appears just washed.
As for it drying up and going bad. I store my Zaino inside during the colder weather. I've used it for over 5 years w/o and never had it dry up.
I apologize if I'm sounding like a salesman for Zaino, and I'm not trying to "sell anyone" on it. To each their own.
For me, nothing works better.
Re: zaino
From my experience Zainois the $h!t. Take a look at my link, the LS1 looked like hell after i clay barred it. It was owned by a female, she kept good mechanical care of it all service records, warranty replacements the whole nin all by GM dealers but she either washed it with a brush or did the drive thru car wash. Those are horrible for clear coats and left plenty of fine scratches. Take a look at my link. The SS in the previous post is awesome as well. My paint wasn't prepped, it was tortured before i had it!

Re: zaino
real nice rides guys. thanks for the info my zaino and norton liquid ice is on its way. im gonna try to post before and after pics if i can figure it out. hopefully will look as good as yours!!!!!!
Re: zaino
'99 SS - sorry, didn't mean to target that towards you. I agree, to each his own. Whatever works "best" is a matter of personal opinion.
I spent a lot of money on Zaino and I really wanted it to work. Even Sal couldn't think of anything other than the fact that maybe my water has too much lime (which is common in South FL) which would rapidly wear the Zaino off. Dunno why it keeps drying up on me either....I store it at room temperature.

Re: zaino
would you guys recommend using a buffer like the PC 7424 on the swirlmarks? there arent really any bad scratches just a lot of swirlmarks. i dont think the guy i bought this car from had a clue about polishing. the first i did it iwas still removing wax from the last time he did it.
Re: zaino
First off guys, Zaino is a POLISH not a WAX. If your paint and clear coat is in good shape you never need to wax the car as the paint and clear coat are shiny enough and wax has a life expectancy of less than several months if you wash it often (which you should if you have a nice car).
Zaino is a Polish and polish does 3 and only 3 things - 1) bring out any luster from the clear coat, 2) protect the base coat from breaking down due to sun light, 3) provide long lasting beading for easy drying and return the luster.
Polish does not remove swirl marks, water spots or any (let me repeat) any thing. It is to be put on a car that has no defects, water spots must be absolutely dried and gone or the polish will actually seal the water spot in until you wash through the polish.
Wash your car with Dawn dish soap to clear off all that crap wax that is sold by everyone to unsuspecting gear heads. And then put down 3 coats minimum of Zaino with accelerator additive.
It will last for 12 months bead action.
It is the best stuff I have used in 40 years of muscle car care.
If your car is in bad shape do 1 of 2 things - paint it or trade it cause putting wax on is like putting vaseline on a hamstring pull.....
Peace out.

Zaino is my favorite. See the results....
