I am really getting p!ssed off with the quality of the paint on my Z28. I wash once a week and wax every 1 to 2 months with this great wax from Auto-Glym of England. And it is parked in a garage most of the time. I have been noticing this problem for about 9 months now, there are several white cracks that are about 1-2" long and about as wide as a regular scratch. It seems like everytime I look at the car I can find another one. There 3 driver's door, near the moulding for the window. They have also appeared on the spoiler, and on the back hatch at the bottom of the glass on the driver's side, and around back going next to the spoiler. I'm thinking it is some kind of paint failure. And they look exactly the same after I claybar and wax my car. Any ideas on what is causing it?

 

Probably stress cracks, not caused by the paint but by the panel underneath....

 

that is my theory, because it isn't happening on the parts of the car that are actually metal. Do you have a solution?
