Question Those little fill-in letters in the back - how do you keep the white spots off ?

Howdy !

My SS has the CAMARO fill-in black letters.
They look great, but are starting to develop white spots after rain or a washing.

I am currently Son-of-a-Gunning 'em, but that is only a temporary fix.

Hopefully you guys have some ideas !!

Thanks !!

Britt

Are these decals or the thick poly-resin fill-ins?

It's those urethane (?) plastic letters - they are actually raised, so it makes 'em stand out.

I don't know why G.M. didn't do this from the factory !!!

Thanks !

Agreed. I just put on the thick poly fill-ins from RKSport. They cost but are worth every penny... looking awesome! Don't know what to tell you about your spots though. These white spots dissappear when you put son-of-a-gun on them? Do the letters have a glossy finish? I wonder if you could clay bar them to see what that does. I would think you need to be careful not to clay the letters off of the car, but if there is anything on there, like mineral deposits from water spots, it would remove it. Good luck!

I have the chrome inserts from RK Sports, I just apply Zaino over them.
