hi i just bought a 2000 ss with the 5 spoke chrome rims what do you guys recommend as the best to clean them with? thanx John

 

Wondering the same thing. I just bought some Chrome ZR1 replicas. A lot of elbow grease and an sos pad on the inside? And then For the outside what keeps it the nicest.

 

For my chrome 10 spokes, I just use car wash to clean them up.. a mit for the outside and an old toothbrush to get inside the wheel. After that, I hit them with a coat of Zanio to help keep them clean. Occasionally will go over them with a claybar when I feel like they need it. If you wanted to, you could use some chrome polish. In any case, I wouldn't use any of those spray on - rinse off wheel cleaners. Too strong in my opinion. I'm sure others will give their two cents on what they do.

 

I read some previous posts and I was seeing lots of Meguires chrome polish answers after giving it a very good wash with a mit and car wash soap.

 

If you want to spend some money, then some type of wheel cleaner from the store is the easiest.
