Post Protection from water spotting.

Okay... prior to using Zaino about a year ago, I had been using Meguiar's Polish, followed by their Gold Class wax every few months.

I switched to Zaino using all the proper steps... wash the car w/ dawn, used the Z1, then popped on the Z2. Light coats, removed with 100% cotton towels.. all that stuff. Yes, the car looks great after polishing.. and continues to look great after being washed.

The car is garaged, comes out only on the weekends (not my daily driver), and of course, occasionally catches rain. I'm **** about my car to a point, but not so **** that I'm going to dry it in a parking lot after rain.

Here's my gripe. Prior to using Zaino, I NEVER had to worry about water spotting when the car was waxed. After any rain, the car is spotted and looks like absolute ****. I've got some nasty dug in water spotting that you can't really see unless you look too hard, or while drying the car w/ the chamois and the spots pop up before it dries totally. I've heard you can remove most of this by using white vinegar? Gonna try this pretty soon.

What can I do now but switch back to using wax products and avoid the water spotting. I've read a few posts on here that say nothing can protect from water spotting, and that is utter and complete BS, as I never had the problem prior to Zaino. I really do like Zaino, and would like to continue using it as it has a great ease-of-use factor. Is there something I can combine w/ it for better protection?

What are the results of waxing over Zaino?

Gimme a hand here, I'd like to keep on using it.

I just wipe mine down with the Z-6, any water spots come right off. You can try white vinegar or claying. Now if the spots were there and have been Zaino'd over, you'll need to use rubbing alcohol to remove the Zaino on top of it and then try to remove them. I always had much worse problems all the years I used carnauba products. I've never had any problems with water spots, bug guts or bird stuff when using Zaino.
