Appreciate the offer, but this site has pretty strict rules about any kind of advertising. Even if you dont think you are doing it, you are. Even if you arent making any kind of money at all for doing it, they probably still wont let you advertise. Kinda sucks, but thats the rules, and we must abide by them. Plus, the supporting advertisers wouldnt like it if you could just jump in and get free advertising when they need to pay for it.

Re: powder coating

I think you're taking that a little out of context. It's not like he just gave a pricing scheme and a business address. Members rely on other members to help with all kinds of work, not just information. It's nice to know people (not businesses) that are willing to help with painting, machining, whatever. Advertising vendors. (I apologize to those I anger) but I feel that they, while sometimes useful, are simpily a necessary evil to keep a great site like this free. And while I agree that some discression should be used to not anger the venders. The inability to disclose services would really limit the usefulness of this site.

Besides, I'm sure the discussion of technical information on this site, takes away from the sales of supporting venders of books and Magizines, at least at a microscopic level. But I don't see them complaining.

Re: powder coating

Re: powder coating

Honestly, it really doesn't matter if any other vendor offers powder coating. That doesn't allow you to advertise your services for free. Plenty of people pay good money to advertise. It's just not fair to them or others if you are getting a free ride.

Trust me, I know where you are coming from. I have my own business that I would love to "help" others on this site with, but I haven't paid.

Have a great night
