Talking Nxt!!!

Alright, well, my cars paint definetely aint the best, but, after using this stuff, it looks REALLY good! Had my doubts, but it is awesome. Went on easy, came off easy, made the car look great. I did dawn the car, then clay it, and that just made it that much better. I was going to use some polish, but due to some time constraints, i didnt, but i cant see it looking any better with polish, cuz it looks real good now. Just thought id let yall know that its a pretty good product.

$5 says if you put Meguiars #7 show car glaze on before the NXT, you'd be saying different. Check my thread a few posts down. Or just go to http://www.freehomepages.com/andyg/media.html

Check out the pics for yourself.

agree...put 1-2 coats of polish on before the wax...makes a big difference.

all your doing by adding another coat of polish is removing the last coat and replacing it with the 2nd coat

A polish will not remove the previous coat of polish, it will just add to it. NXT will remove a little bit of it, but not much.

LMAO

Oh okay, so yeah, abrasive POLISHES will layer. Awesome. I wasn't aware. Do compounds layer too? WOW this is an awesome discovery. I better go post this on the detailing forums and let everyone know!

Do you have any idea what polish does? It doesn't leave a "coat" of itself on the paint, it REMOVES paint. What makes you think a paint-leveling product is going to layer?

Oh man, I love some of the replies I see in this forum!

So yeah smartass, im sure youve had some great responses of your own. Maybe you should try to not be such a ********. Try this, instead of trying to make yourself look cool by insulting people and making fun of a post that was wrong, how bout trying to be a civilized person and simply correct them, it works better and it doesnt make you look like a complete Ahole.

I honestly don't care what you think of me.

You gave wrong info, and it was corrected. In the end, I'm right, and you're wrong.

There are better ways of correcting someone. And I dont care what you think of me either, but theres no need to correct someone by making fun of them, its simply immature and not needed.

Okay sorry.

Let me re-word it to clarify. Polishes are *MOST OF THE TIME* (with the exception of Zaino "polishes" which are in reality synthetic sealants with no abrasives) abrasives to remove swirl marks, paint defects, etc.

Heavy polishes include Meguiar's Dual-Action Cleaner Polish, 3M Fine Cut Rubbing Compound, 1Z Ultra Paint Polish, Menzerna Intensive Polish, etc

Medium polishes include Meguiar's Swirl Remover 2.0 (#9 I believe), 1Z Paint Polish (which also has waxes in it), etc

Light polishes include Menzerna Final Polish, 3M SMR (mostly fillers with very light abrasives), Blackfire gloss enhancing polish, P21S Paintwork Cleansing Lotion, Meguiar's Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner, 1Z Metallic Polish (contains waxes too), etc.

Even though some light polishes do contain waxes, they will not layer....anytime you see "gloss enhancing polish" or "paint cleaner", it's a light polish used to clean the paint and remove whatever waxes/sealants were on there previously to start fresh.

Most polishes do contain waxes/oils/fillers to make the finish look nice and hide defects that it could not remove (ex, fill swirls), and there are very few that don't. For example, Menzerna polishes do not contain any waxes, oils, or fillers, just pure polish that leaves the paint clean and hides nothing.

So keep in mind...heavy polishes/compounds are used to remove paint defects, marring, swirl marks, wetsanding scratches, etc. Light/medium polishes are used to remove hazing which is caused by most heavy polishes, or to clean the paint so that it is ready for a wax/sealant.

Hope this clears things up and helps you understand better,
-Matt
