Question How Good Can a White Car Look?

I have a 97 Z28 and I want the paint to look like a mirror. I just started using Zaino (I guess that's a step in the right direction). I've been told over and over a white car just can't look that great, what do you guys think? Can I make my white car SHINE? Anyone have any good pics?

White cars will shine, I have several customers that have white cars, Zaino believe it or not may look best on white cars, this is due to the fact that carnauba products will leave a yellowish film that can really be seen on white cars the most.

My 2002 Monte SS is white.

I think Zaino works great on it...

But, I think what your getting at is that White is a light, bright color, so it's harder to see 'depth' in it, like black for example...

The white shines, trust me. I can't get the orange stripes to get as shiny as the white paint though. I think its because the stripes are decals, not painted on. Any tips on this one Kevin?

Over the years, I have seen good pics of white cars that were Zaino'd. They will definitely shine, but they will lack that ultra-clear depth that Zaino gives to darker colors. Most of the Z jobs I've seen on white can look like a mirror, you just can't unreasonably expect it to look as reflective like a black, dark blue, red, etc...

But, yes it is entirely possible to get a great shine on white! Good paint prep is also key to getting a great mirror like shine. So, be sure to clay and use any necessary cleaners your paint may need. This will improve the clarity and reflectiveness of the finish.

It is interesting how you enjoy making a fool of yourself.

The Orange stripes will shine...I clay them just like the paint though...maybe that helps. Heres a photo of my car where you can see the clouds reflect in the orange stripes and the white

As for how well white can shine. White is tricky. You will not get that reflection type shine, but I notice that my car from several feet away looks shinier than black cars....just not as reflective from up close.

I'm going to try it on my wife's car eventually! I've been using my left over Gold Class on her car, and that just doesn't cut it out in the weather. Her car sits outside, so it will be a true test for Zaino!

Here's my 9 year old (1994) white Trans Am with ZAINO applied.

The shine looks even better in person, and the surface of the car feels like oil coated Teflon.

Don't beleive white cars can be shiney? My white 94 Trans Am with 35 coats of zaino (in storage right now) The entire cars just simply glows
These were also either taken by a disposable, then scanned, or by a REALLY old digital Camera, Plus Cardomain tones down the quality.
