I have a 95 TA and I guess over the years that metal bar in the middle that the t-tops butt up against, has some film like crap on it. It almost looks like rainbowy waterspots. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Is there anyway to clean it up so that it's a shinny black?

Thanks

Dan

i would imagine most any brand of paintwork cleanser/polish should be able to get you up to speed.

same here
I bought a 2000 black camaro and the bar between the Ttops looks like a rainbow.

What product should I use to get it looking nice and black again?

Thanks

I bought a 2001 SS and before it was even a year old I noticed that crap on my T-Top bar. I think it's oxidization... GM just chose the wrong metal/paint combo there. I have yet to fix mine, but I'm going to start trying a few different paint-safe cleaners soon.

It may need to be repainted. You should wash it and wax/polish it like you do the rest of the car.

A few applications of 3M's SMR by hand removed almost all of it on mine. I could probably get rid of the rest, but am a bit worried about going through the clear...
