Headlight looks to be fogged. Replace? If so, from where to buy?

Hello everyone!

First off, I hope I've posted this in the correct forum section. If not, then please forgive me.

Anyways, I own a 99 Camaro Z28 (5.7L V8, Automatic Transmission). But onto my problem, I noticed just yesterday that my driver side headlight appeared a bit opaque (I believe people call this a foggy headlight). Can I restore this part myself to look as good as new, or must I buy a replacement to achieve this good as new aesthetic desire? In the case buying a replacement is my only option, I've decided to buy an aftermarket version online. I've done some looking around and found some companies, and I've narrowed it down to two that I liked. The difference in prices between the two companies is a bit significant, leading me to feel suspicious that either one may not be a legitimate vendor. Before I make a purchase from either, I'd like to ask if anyone has ever bought a part from either of these companies.. Thanks in advance.

You can find the kits to clean them at any auto parts store. Even Wally World sells them.

I used Walmart's kit on my Honda. Worked great. I was AMAZED at how much easier it was to see at night.

Take your time, and I advise (Im not sure if the instructions said to do this) using water on ALL steps. It helps keep from burning and causing yellow plastic buildup.

Try the 3M restore kit. I used it with great results on a couple of cars.

Even easier and cheaper (if you have rubbing compound and a buffer). take a buffer and some rubbing compound and have at it. buff on, wipe off. Good as new

On my '98 ZX2 just some simple 3 in 1 oil and a soft piece of cloth did the trick.

buffer and rubbing compound works greta but the 3m and the meguires kit ALL work great! DO NOT replace the headlights WASTE of time and $$$$

these will be much easier to use and save you $$

Good luck!
