Question Cleaning a plastic convertible car rear window

I just picked up a beater. It's a vert & the rear plastic window is very dirty. I don't think windex will cut it. Any ideas???

You could try a plastic polish such as the one Zaino sells, it is a mild abrasive I believe and should help.

You could also try a diluted solution of vinegar and water, and up the concentration on the vinegar if it isn't cutting it.

Finish up with a regular glass cleaner I see a lot of old faded plastic vert windows, you might need it replaced if it has yellowed as well.

I would not use any glass cleaner with ammonia in it, many company's make a plastic polish, Meguiars, Zaino, etc. If you don't want to order anything you will just have to hit the streets and go look for a plastic polish.

Definately do not use Windex, etc it will "melt" the plastic leaving it brown. I had a 91 vert with the plastic window. I used some polish and spray made by Meguires. Did a good job. Unfortunately the plastic will yellow and theres nothing you can to about that but replace it.
