For the leather and dash etc. you can use an all purpose cleaner like 409 and a small terry cloth towel to clean it, that works better than "leather cleaner" that they sell in sores. The best cleaners are made by detail suppliers that sell to dealerships and shops, but not to the public. They are much stronger. For conditioning, get something that has UV protection in it. Lexol is one of the best but Meguiars is probably good and I've tried Turtle Wax conditoner and that seemed good too. I wouldn't use saddle soap.

You will need a dedicated leather cleaner and conditioner (separate products) for the best results. Many companies make separates, but Zaino, Pinnacle, Eagle1, Lexol, etc are some of the better brands to stick with. For restoring leather, Leatherique is about the best out there. I wouldn't suggest you use 409 or any household cleaner on leather due to the pH of those cleaners. Most leather cleaners have close to a neutral pH (like water) so it doesn't harm the leather hide. Natuarally, they aren't going to clean as well as a household since they aren't acid or alkaline based. But, they do clean rather well with a good leather brush or just by using a clean cotton towel. For 99% of the leather out there you will not need saddle soap. Just find a good conditioner and cleaner and you'll be happy.
