you should be fine if you just paint your lic. number on the outside of the cover at the front and rear, but then again, i don't live in NY, so i wouldn't really know. I wouldn't want to have any holes in a car cover to begin with.

Yeah I've never seen one either...
Is there anyplace in NYC you can park and leave the car it for long periods?? I wouldn't think you could just park it on he street?? If it's safe, could you just Zip-tie your plate to the outside of the cover??

it might seem a little ghetto but would also hold the cover on good....throw the cover on and then mount the plates over the cover?.....i live in brooklyn and had a cover on mine for a while and nobody bothered me about plates showing on mine.
