Obviously I'm looking for the best way to clean my wheels and make them shine like new again. They aren't in bad shape but I don't want them to get any worse. Any suggestions?

If they're the clear coated silver stock rims, treat them just like you treat the paint on your car. I believe Mothers makes a polish specifically for clear coated wheels too. I'd use car wash fluid and elbow grease to clean them, nothing stronger. JMO

Use Dawn or Joy to get the old grease, wax and brake dust off, then claybar them. If there are still some marks, try some 3M Swirl Mark Remover. Then rewash.

Then just use your choice of good wax or polish to protect them!

Simple Green works well and is safe. I use it every time I wash the car. A quick coating of Zaino on them every now and then and I'm good to go...
