Question About to put my new Z28 badges on....

The previous owner had some gay chromed Z28 badges on my car when I bought it. They would be cool, if they weren't so cheap and rusted.. They sat on top of a black piece of plastic, and it made them stick out 3/4 of an inch!! Ugly!! That's the thing I hated most. But he also had them mounted low, where the 3rd gens had their badges. I just didn't like it.

Back in Sept I got my car painted, and I told them not to bother putting those pieces of crap back on, just paint and leave 'em off...
I've had my fun suprising people. They think I'm driving a sixer, then I blow their doors off! But I've had my fun. I'm putting the badges back on. I ordered them on Monday.

Now the question: Can I put them on, even though the surface has been waxed? Is it okay, or will the adhesive not hold on? Does it even matter?

Thanks.. I just don't want my $30 flying off first time I go over 100.

You need to clean the area with rubbing alcohol before you stick them on.
