$1300 too cheap for paint job?

I have taken my 79 Z28 to two body shops I picked randomly in town and one quoted me $1200 and the other $1300, but that seems too good to be true? What are they charging some of you guys in your areas for this type of job?

The car has original paint, no significant dings (just typical parking lot ding here and there), one rust spot quarter size on front driver side fender bottom. They(the $1300 job) said they would use Sikkens(have heard thats good!), sand, primer over sanded original paint(not down to bare metal), primer, then b/c ( I need to confirm how many quotes of each; I have 2-3 each is what you need). He would guarantee it for five years, and assured me no orange peel. I told him not to paint the door jams, since I have the original decals in there and it looks "ok".

Is this reasonable or too good to be true? Or maybe everyone else is inflated?

Oh and put my new decals on, which I will bring him.

I didn't talk to him about removing lights, etc, so I will safely assume he plans to tape up. I have decided, though, I will deliver car without lights, spoiler off, window trim, front grill, and maybe mirros off (not sure how far I will take things off)

With minimal body work 1300 to 1500 would be a good deal, could be more, but he may be cutting you some slack. I would look at some of his finished work and make a decision.
