My driver's side window was misaligned by 1/2" and would not adjust no matter what and when you roll up the window, it would bind inwards towards the cabin and get stuck. Well I opened up the window...

Re: Wheel stuck on Hub

Thank you, I'll be giving this a shot. The right side I took extra care to grind down the hub a bit more and it comes off easily. Also added a bit of anti seize for good measure.

The steering...

Wheel stuck on Hub

I picked up a set of used C7 Stingray Corvette wheels. I went to install the rear wheels and it wouldn't fit on the hub.

I took my dremel and a grinding stone and grinded down the hub a little bit...

Re: Possible parasitic draw problem diagnosis (Stereo?)

So I have been monitoring the battery for a while now, car has been sitting since Thanksgiving. I pulled all the fuses on the driver's side panel to see if it makes a difference. I reduced the draw...

Re: Optispark Orange powder, possible code

Yeah it's weird, I'm not sure if it's rust. It could be. It seems to be some sort of byproduct from the opti inside where the sensor is? When I replaced the cap and rotor, the inside of the opti...

Optispark Orange powder, possible code

What is the orange powder I see that's coming out of the opti driveshaft and the back of the opti?

I also threw a code for DTC36 Distributor ignition system (faulty high resolution pulse or extra...

Re: Possible parasitic draw problem diagnosis (Stereo?)

Hi Mitch, Thanks for your input. Sorry if I misunderstood but kind of went over my head there. To clarify, what did you mean by the double connection at the fusible links?

After you removed fuse...

Re: Possible parasitic draw problem diagnosis (Stereo?)

Today I checked the battery voltage and it is showing 12.48V. Will monitor over the weekend but I feel like dropping from 12.7 to 12.48v over 24 hours is not normal?

There was no parasitic draw...

Re: Possible parasitic draw problem diagnosis (Stereo?)

Yeah maybe I don't have a problem. I'm trying to think back the past few days and I don't think I used the battery THAT much but I'll have to monitor this issue. Over the past 5 days, I had the door...

Re: Possible parasitic draw problem diagnosis (Stereo?)

Yeah I thought that too but on the stock bose headunit, does it not send an amplified signal to the rear? I guess it wouldn't make sense to. I just saw that at the stock harness level, the rear left...

Re: New Engine won't pass emissions, High NOX

Got the AC recharged and fixed, works great.

Unfortunately, one problem solved, another one arises.

The battery died today. I measured parasitic drain with a multimeter and it's around...

Re: New Engine won't pass emissions, High NOX

Interesting that they're different. I looked it up but still kind of confused what the difference is between the 2. High emitter profile is basically cars that are tagged based on of statistics and...

Re: New Engine won't pass emissions, High NOX

Your limits are stricter than mine and I believe my car was tagged as a gross polluter/high emitter at one point. That's crazy.. if it was 430 mine would have failed. I have been told conflicting...

Re: New Engine won't pass emissions, High NOX

Yeah I really do not like the way they are going about handling the emissions here. I get it, if you look at pictures of Los Angeles back in the 70s the smog was insanely ridiculous. The amount of...

Re: New Engine won't pass emissions, High NOX

The hot floorboards.. I'm not sure if it's normal though. It's not overly hot like I can't touch it but it is toasty like there is heat coming off of it. I owned a 350z that had the same problem.....

Re: New Engine won't pass emissions, High NOX

Thank you for the clarification.

Regarding the exhaust, I am feeling a lot of heat in the floorboards which is why I thought it might be abnormal. Other cars tested no more than 300 deg F...
