Re: Looking for advice on suspension for 96 z28

I think the place to start is with subframe connectors...they make a big difference. Then switch your lower control arms to tubular parts with rod-end or polyurethane bushings...this will reduce the...

Re: Hi,new to site, can you help me out?

You’re probably right. I did have the pin come off with the OPTI with my aftermarket cam. It fell right down into the timing cover and into the pan like it was on a mission. Not likely to happen two...

Re: 97 lt1 missfire on #7 i need help!

It seems unlikely to be the OPTI at this point but it certainly could be. Look first at the wire itself...maybe even replace it with an old one if you have one around. If that turns out to not be the...

The window motors aren't that bad. Check out shoebox's page for a nice tutorial. It took me about an hour the last time I did it.....

Re: Will new LT1 Vette motor fit in 97 Z28?

The new Lt1 doesn't share anything with your current engine and will not bevavdrop-in replacement. I think it shares block architecture with the LS series engines so the place to start is with a LS...

Re: clutch pedal vibrates then clutch goes out

Sometines the cylinders fail without external leakage...fluid gets past the piston seals,

You can dry bleeding the system but. If that doesn't help you'll just have to replace both the master and...

Re: my new cam

Probably not. Fuel injector sizing is based on expected flywheelhorsepower you'll end up with. The simple formula is HP * 0.07 = injector size in pounds/hour. It is OK to oversize a little to leave...

Re: Need advice on build

The LT4 manifold was powder coated red from the factory and they did fine, except for application method, powder coating is just a tough heavy paint. Don't be afraid of it....

Re: All new parts but still 0 fuel pressure?

No, optispark failure can not cause 0 pressure. It is something in the fuel or security system.

Do you hear the fuel pump when you first turn the key to 'on'? If not. Check for power at the...

Re: Tips for LT1 of Unknown Condition

I think you've already gotten your answer. The hissing you hear in the exhaust is from a leaking exhaust valve and requires you to have a valve job done. Also have the shop test for a warped head...

Re: Any advantages to using link bar hyd roller lifters over stock style?

Not that's obvious to me. Link bar lifters are longer and probably heavier. Longervwould mean you will absolutely need new valve pushrods. Heavier would be a disadvantage to my way of thinking. I...

Re: LE2 Iron Heads???

I could be mistaken but I think aluminum heads, due to better thermal transfer, allows more advanced timing and, therefore, more power.

Find a set of aluminum heads to have done by Lloyd...you'll...

Reattach the vacuum line, pressure should be lower based on the...
